
‘Green, Cool and Clean’
The Southwest monsoon has stormed into Mangalore. The onset of Monsoon brings into the forefront the planting of saplings with the fond hope that they will grow into trees. There has been much attention on the issue of its practical capacity of bringing in the much needed green cover. The aim of Vanamahotsava is to transform India’s landscape by fostering in collaborative sense of purpose of building a clean, green and a viable sight of having trees in our midst.

The tree plantation drive works in a three-fold way ensuring that the sapling takes root, constant care and protection by planting the sapling in an enclosure and preparing that the sapling grows into a tree. Hence, Vanamahotsava is a journey of care and compassion. It is beneficial for the people enables practical exposure to children and enhancing their love for nature.
CASK celebrated the day by planting saplings at the road divider at St Antony Ashram, Jeppu, in the morning of 1st June, 2025.
